Reverse Racism

Topic: AngryPoetry

If i were born in a Southern country
near the coasts of Siera Leone
where all the dirty diamonds come from

or in the heart of a jungle
where the only thing i know from health
is the pharmacy's experiments on me

or in a poor neighbourhood
where love and money
can only be gained through crime

or even in the far east
waiting for the weather to crash on me
fearing the sea and the rain

or survived through a cold hearted war
that was held for my country's wealth
and lost everything and everyone i had

then i would be eligible for your kindness

But i'm just a man, playing cards and making jokes
trying to keep my house cause my wife wants it all
fourty years of love, but i still go on

I'm just a woman with a kind smile
i've been hiding my skin marks away from eyes
my husband wasn't good enough but i keep trying

I'm just a child whose parents have divorced
i'm the father whose son's been doing drugs
and the wife whose husband loves the bar

I'm noone, but i'm everyone you see
i'm the one you just called a 'prick'
the one you used to fill the holes in your needs

While too busy saving lives a million miles away
have you ever felt the pain of the ones you stepped over today?
Cause they didn't qualify..

To hypocrites...
Humanity starts one meter near you!

It's about time someone raised a little hell...hats off to you my friend...When will we wake up and get sensitive to our fellow humans...where is our compassion? I hope we all awaken and allow our hearts to have eyes to see. Excellent piece.
