Fade Away

Contributed by silver_crested_shadow on Friday, 9th March 2007 @ 09:43:46 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Every night we drink and dance
Hold onto the little romance
When our lips touch their skin
We acquire what’s within

The taste addicts so bitter sweet
As they then begin to go weak
Us and them embraced as one
But the pleasure doesn’t last to long

The sun rises from the ground
The other stars they fade away
Hold onto what you have
By daylight they’ll fade away

We can’t survive without them
We decide who lives and who dies
It all depends on there own sins
We kill their innocence within

There is one for each of us
Just the ones who stay out at night
And when they reach our tollbooths
They pay it with their blood

The sun rises from the ground
The other stars they fade away
Hold onto what you have
By daylight they’ll fade away
The sun rises from the ground
Soon enough we’ll fade away
Can’t live in the light
We may never meet again.

Our kind and yours can’t love each other
You two can’t be forever
The gods don’t allow this
That’s why you’re both from different worlds

Now take them both far away
They both will see each other’s pain
Love is not between a beast and man
In the morning you’ll understand

The sun rises from the ground
The other stars they fade away
Hold onto what you have
By daylight they’ll fade away
The sun rises from the ground
Soon enough we’ll fade away
Can’t live in the light
We may never meet again.

This is very good and heartfelt with the title reinforced as a lyric without being heavy handed you deliver a deep sadness with a strong message to '...hold onto what you have...'

Well Done

Peace
