The endorephins aren't running thru

Get home pop a beer
Eat some pills
Maybe tomorrow
I will feel

They tell me I am sad
A habitual user
I am the seed that's bad
That I am the loser

But I don't listen to them
Sure I might be confined
By habits but that's my sin
I don't hurt or define
the others
I don't mind
They rearrange the letters
to tell me all mine

I tell you this the endorephins aren't running
Gotta pop a beer get them moving
Eat some pills get them glowing
I just need to die
& I'm helping myself one day at a time

Smoking cigarettes drinking wine
I haven't a better line

liquid acid, MDMA, Thc, and special K
Ludes to pcp, ice and heresey
I tell you atleast these aren't apart of me

( I went up to some guy, wise to the topic
and I asked him "tell me am I chemically co-dependent?"
He said when you were younger what did you do?
"Oh, I did alot, any drug you can name a concert
almost once a week, sometimes three or four time that week.
Panama City, Mexico, a dozen different states."
He said how many days were you sober in those four to five years?
"Oh, all together in that time maybe a month."
He said so you were on acid, shrooms, xtc, coke and so on
for your concerts, graduation, every big event of your teens?
" well yeah, it was more fun that way, but I'm not addicted to any one thing."
He says well you're not an addict, your endorephins just don't move
like they did to all those things you were on. Now today you are fighting
with things not having as much passion, excitement, adrinaline.
You've been on to much for them to run with out help.
Things that will help / breething excersises, meditation, imagery.
Take these steps and I will guide you, is what he said.

Quite a powerful epitab you have here. But one day at a time, your right, that can do it. Good luck to you. a essential peice of writting indeed, nicely presented, and most compelling.

Hmmm...i havent been on for a while. I dont know much of what to make of your poem. I know where you are coming from, how you feel....anything to make you feel. Yet when the high runs low your left numb and dead. Sometmes anything to make you feel numb is good.

Anyhow....to overcome the barier of addiction addicts have to realize that only they themsleves hold the power to their own happiness....no one else does. Not drugs, sex, frendships or any addictions. Only we can choose and make our happiness.
