Sometimes I think that life takes from us all the souls that could carry us,
Making us just stick soldiers walking to an unbeaten drum.
The courage of the march is remembering their song.
Only because we love them can we move our feet and hold our heads high.

We see their faces shining above us and we carry our flags high in tribute to who they were,
We can not touch or be one with them anymore and the mourning is done.
We walk and hold them in our hearts each and every day and take the action of earth moving forever on its axilating sphere. This piece captures the passing of loved ones as a way of deconstructing our ideas taking them back to questions.
This reminded me of how in Judaism the practice of mourning becomes a tradition carrying a wisdom to help with the health of the living first. 'Sitting Shiva' takes place in the home of the deceased or the primary mourner. They gather and decide the number of days they will spend together. 7 is generally accepted but I have personally been with families that went longer or shorter depending on time commitments. There are generally many components such as covering mirrors, washing hands at the door, etc. to help aide feeling all the feelings so at the appropriate time one can let go of the loss allowing bereavement to move from their all consuming focus to settle in their hearts.

Well Done

Peace
Yang

"We can not touch or be one with them anymore and the mourning is done. We walk and hold them in our hearts each and every day and take the action of earth moving forever on its axilating sphere."

The above mentioned lines are so true in my life, I felt as though this was written exclusively for me.

I Thank you my friend.

Excellent, excellent words .. and very near and dear
to my own heart. This put a smile on my face, as
certain kinships often tend to do.

Thank you for this. It was such a lovely tribute and one
that can spare and aching heart in times of the misery
of missing ..
