My Prince of Peace

Contributed by gaurdnangel on Wednesday, 28th February 2007 @ 02:30:39 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

What a wondrous feeling I would have that day,
A peacefulness of calming joy shall come my way.
I’d hear the angels singing in voices I have known,
Of family and friends, long past the earth I’d grown…

All that I was during my earthly trials and pain,
Gone in an instant, for I repented and of sin I refrain.
What wondrous adventures awaits I who believe,
Promises of new life, Christ bestowed on you and me…

Unlimited feelings of purity in a realm brand new,
Clearness of minds eye, visions an open sky of blue.
Walking barefoot in sunshine over grass richly green,
Surrounded by glorious heavens, my eyes never seen…

So sweetly the scent of freshness in all we’d known,
Bells ring lowly in distant places behind His throne.
Guidance of the Holy Spirit keeps my soul at ease,
I’ll be with my Lord, my Savior, my Prince of Peace…
