You Threw Us Away, Hope Your Happy Now

Contributed by Jyssvw on Wednesday, 28th February 2007 @ 02:28:28 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

If it was ever anything
It has turned to waste and can not be saved
Revived or replayed
So little time
Dust and grime
The light descends to the pitch black of a cave
A hush fell over your lips
As I begged you to stay
Begged you to place
Your heart beside mine
And not run away

You have lost a friend
One who cared about you deeply
One who has loved you
Thought about you
And treated you kindly
Would fight for you
Lie for you
And follow you blindly

You threw us away
Taken the memories and let them rot into decay
Held me by the throat as your sword of words slay
All of your energy expended into tiredness and hate
Over nothing, something trivial, immature, my mistake

This is my fault
Sometimes
Feelings get caught
And turn ordinary people into monsters of hope
Out of this scope
So soft rope chokes
Holds close
Loose thoughts
Pure salt
Poured on wounds
To consume
Eating away
Blacking the room
A linger of perfume
Holds still in the air
It loiters
Then drops
Into a pit of despair
Committed to desire
Lit is the fire
Which burns
And returns
To a solemn vow of silence
Where words
Are cheap
Only touching can provide the heat
Meet me in the restaurant
At a quarter to three
I reserved the back seat
Order anything you like to drink and eat
It’s on me

Feast until content
Satiate in my presence
Be beautiful in my space
Cruel with love as its only trace
Seductive is a word misplaced
Compared with angels
Essentially equal
A rare taste
Spit back
In my face
Left alone
Embarrassed and disgraced

Decomposed and battered
I hurt to the point where nothing matters
Glass souls shatter
Heart broken and tattered
Illuminated by the sun
The brilliance dictates the flow
A downward spiral
With loneliness waiting below
In denial
Of potential foes
Not all are honest
Moral creatures with eleven toes
Fingers to count lovers
Hooks to hang their faded cloths
Books to feed their lifeless brains through their pointed nose
You left
I stood shocked and watched you go

such an outpouring of feelings.. this is a very heart felt piece.. great job in expression and good wording it flows so good.

however i think its better you found this out now about this person rather than later.. its sad when we are let down by someone but they have to live with what they did and karma comes back..

Good gracious .... the bravery and release in here is staggering ..

I was captivated by the emotions found within, and
undeniably begrudging my own fated life in the process.
I literally, found my heart caught way up in my throat ..

memories .. they are a mighty potent conjurer of ill-fated
emotion ~ (who needs it right? Emotions are for humans!)

Wishing you lasting peace, my friend.
Excellent out-pouring (hoping it was liberating as well)

What an outpouring of mockery and despair --- LOVE IT! Talk about hanging onto somebody's words... wow. My mind was reeling; experiencing each emotive word as it spilled out before me! Excellent job jyss!
