That you wake up to rain
Pounding on the window
Outside the clouds filled with grey
Nothing could be better
As if the rain can help release your pain

The rustic train goes by with the graphiti covering the side
The chill in the air
The rain coming down
Every raindrop that lands, you feel your own heart beat

There's the old buildings
And the dark alleyways
The sound of rain and cars fall together

Slowly this all slips away
Every beat grows faint
Gentely the sun spreads it's rays
Removing the grey clouds

Sheilding your eyes
All this falls away as everything turns bright
Now the rays of light fill your soul
And all your pain gets tucked in tight
Burning your soul
You're caged inside
Longing for it to return to the way it was

The rain pooring down
Falling to the beat of your heart
Alowing you to release your fears, your pain
Filling you with joy

It's those days
That you wake up to rain
Pounding on the window

I always feel sad when it rains.. despite my logical mind knowing the earth needs rain...I always remember puddle splashing with my siblings...perhaps it causes me to miss them...anyway...I think this is refreshing and well written. Good write
