and I'l count half-bitten calendars
until it returns
to calm the quivering
and shaking of my hands..
while staring at spectacular
grains of sand
that illuminate;
like Chinese lanterns
in a glass mirage.

With nothing but time,
breaking down lines..
drowning mirrored reflections
and drenched shards
of imagery..
as memories bleed
like water colors.

Floating souls out beyond
the ebb and flow
of burning embers.. oceanic coals,
pulsing always, down all the grey days
behind my eyes-
wishing in a moment of settling comprimise,
to open them to a brand new world
Where I do not ache;
having never again to grasp
at something I cannot name.

as usual, fabulous!
i loved your flow, darling.
and the subject matter, what a wonderful new twist! Most would go on about voices and whatnot, but you've made it quite your own.

bro, you really out did yourself (as you seem to do with all your writes)...but this one in particular grabbed me and took me on its fabulous ride... your imagery and metaphors are truly spectacular!

i read this twice, and concluded that i can relate so well to this (at least in my novice interpretation) that its almost as though this was a hand tailored description of my own thoughts and feelings of late...it really touched me like no other has.

with that said, i take of my hat and salute you and your splendid pen...and the emotion it weaves...

much love,

wiz

Sweets .. I find that first stanza so painful, and beautiful all
at once. Your flawless expression of thought , as always
paints the most beautifully pained emotions ..

"as memories bleed
like water colors"

I find this so hard to get past .. it is a completely mesmerizing
sentiment. Though, you may not have intended quite this
meaning, there is a certain beauty in the blending of colour, no?
Like that of a painting, some memories are a timeless wonder that
I shall hold close to my heart forevermore ~

Do not hold tightly to those that cause you pain, dearest.
For there is much beauty in this life, left for you to discover.

This piece, not unlike most of your others, has driven
emotion through me like lightning. I am left, shaken,
inspired and in awe.

Ever humbled .. and with much respect,

XO
~Breezy

I am so impressed with the clarity with which this was written Billy... you are usually at least somewhat veiled. The emotional course this piece takes the reader on from the enticing beginning, to forlorn end is just so honest and introspective. Great job expressing yourself.
