toss and twist in binding sheets
to rise and pace and think
and hope

odds as they are, one in two now
who can truly believe in marriage,
the sanctity of two apart becoming
one in heart
and staying so, till death?

am i just a girl, and you,
simply a man?
is it matter of course, that our chances are fifty-fifty,
a matter of time until we are divided?

and to answer?
I do what I can
with what I have,
we do with what we have,
what we can,
and pray until our voices leave us
and then, in silence, hope [comments] => 3 [counter] => 508 [topic] => 2 [informant] => inlovewithaladd [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Marriage is a unity of two people on paper commitment in black and white.

People that are TRULY in love don't need a piece of paper to show this .......

People that are in love are married in love dedicated to one another ......

A good marriage or relationship is two people Giving to one another and wanting to give more with every breath....

If in doubt ...RUN .....
You will know THE ONE and all you will know is tht you wish to spend the rest of your life with him.

good write tho ... simple but nice ....

Fingers crossed for you

Dee xx

A simple method of survival I learned when I felt this fear of were a relationship would go...If we move ahead and have faith not fear...we will have a better outcome. We shine and attract love when we radiate in faith of our being lovable. This is a lovely piece and so many of us have the same uneasy anguish.

Dri,

In my fifty-six years, I have learned so much about human relationships. Pain and failure for the most part. I'm a slow learner. If I knew then what I know now, I would still be with my first wife, except that I wouldn't know now if I hadn't divorced then!!!!! I'm sure glad I'm not God. Marriage is forever regardless of whether it is paperless or on paper. From what I've learned, our attachment experience deficiencies draw us together in marriage, but the day to day nitty gritty of married relationship is the finishing school for adulthood...

I've come to realize that Adulthood, Mature Spirituality and Self-Actualization are one in the same. Our daily relationships, especially the marriage relationship, helps us pinpoint behaviors that compromise our Adulthood, cause Spiritual immaturity and prevent us from becoming an Actual Self. It's too much to explain here, but that is what a third of my book is about.

Remember, I said marriage is forever. Divorce is only a noun in the legal sense. Divorce is a verb. it's either happening or it doesn't exist. For my part, I am no longer divorcing. I have come to the point of Loving Unconditionally. I Love them both! God sure knew what He was talking about! What in the world am I going to do with two wives? A whole lot of praying. Take your time. Take your time. Learn to Love your Self unconditionally first. When you Love your Self like God Loves you, the marriage stuff won't seem like such a big risk. Take your time. Nobody told me that and look at the mess I made! Still, God takes our messes and builds castles.

That was no butterflies and daisy poem. It had much to be appreciated.

Blessings,

ron...enigma
