But that’s not IT
Life is full of second chances
Just because people don’t always take them,
doesn’t mean they’re not there.
When you’re at that breaking point
remember;
not giving up takes so much more courage than giving up.
Not giving up means you’re trying
and there’s still something out there for you.
Don’t turn a blind eye to the future you need or deserve.
Only you can decide how much you’re worth
and what you're willing to do to change.
Giving up is for the coward.
Even if at first you fail, just trying makes you a hero.
Isn’t life worth fighting for?
Isn’t a bright future worth striving for?
Isn’t a past undone worth struggling for?
The world never gave up on you
You gave up on yourself at the point of reckoning
But today and every other day is your second chance
My challenge to you…
Take that chance

justagirl82, yes in deed take that chance and never give up on yourself because when one does its self defeat. I really liked your closing by the way you challenged your readers. You are awesome and I sure hope to see and read much more from you. Thank you for sharing a little of yourself and your poetic talents with us all. As I close, I can only hope that you may never decide or consider to place your poetic pen down as you and your awesome words of poetry would be missed causing your readers to bear a frown. Awesome work.

wow this is a very expressive wise piece.. some people do get second chances with life and some don't with things.. but at least you grow stronger and wiser from each thing.. beautifully written
