Whenever she’s unhappy feeling down and rather blue.
She has a funny “cure for all”; it’s buying of the shoe.
Her day is never ruined if there is a sale in sight.
She’ll be as happy as can be with new shoes by that night.

Tears will come and go with her and you’ll know what to feel.
When she prances by and asks of you “Do you like the heel?”
Red or green, open, closed the style is always hip!
She’ll tell you that they were on sale, don’t give her any lip.

You’ll know what kind of day it was or when things start to drag.
She’ll enter with a silly smile and try to hide the bag.
I never have to cheer her up or know what I should do.
I laugh at her and simply say “Okay let’s see the shoe”.

It’s such a precious cure for all this thing she has for shoes.
A little costly and bazaar but give the girl her dues.
It’s practical and rather neat this cure for all she has for feet.
I don’t know how it got its start and yet it seems to warm her heart.

So leave her be and let her go and find the perfect shoe.
To pacify her mind on days when she is feeling blue.
If all the angels in heaven came down, this gal has shoes to go around.
She’ll dress them all in shoes with style, wearing her silly shoe shopping smile.

Besides Imelda Marcos there is a whole gang of women who stomped while applauding to this one. I like the giggling metric in this well delivered gift. May it bring smiles to your faces for centuries.

Well Done

Peace
Yang
