Insecure and fragile
I drag myself from bed
Forced to face the world again
With everything you said
I slump down the stairs
This doesn’t feel like home
Turning to see behind me
A reminder im alone
Are you waking to singing birds?
Is someone in your bed?
I need to shake away these thoughts
That have taken over my head
I ache so bad, I can’t think straight
I feel dysfunctional
Do you even know the word unconditional?
Early mornings my journey to work
I no longer see
My head is hung because everywhere I look
Salt is thrown at me
Rubbed in so deep
Please stop this pain growing
I was in love
But the salt you’re now throwing
I want to shut down
Im ready to break
Hold my hand, lift my head
Please cure my heartache
My dreams come crashing
I can’t look above
Im broken, im strained
Im the other side of Love.

Your Poem demonstrated beautifully the pain you feel inside.....
I have said this to many many people suffering broken hearts .... ONLY YOU CAN ALLOW IT TO HEAL AGAIN ....

Maybe a slow process but why stay in this lonely sad world when happiness is waiting to greet you around the corner ... It's time you allowed it in ..........

All your poetry is deep and meaningful - beautiful , now I want to read of happier more joyful times ... Get Penning!!! xx

With love
Dee xx

Dear Louisa,
Your words literally takes the reader through the pain and anexity what the person in the poem goes through.
Great ... Very well written.
