Array ( [sid] => 131783 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Taxi Driver [time] => 2007-02-15 22:01:14 [hometext] => Ok, This is utter crap (as a poem), but I needed something to test my adjustments to the submission system!! [bodytext] => I drive a cab 12 hours a day,
To help keep the wolves at bay,
I go to work when its still light
and drive right through the night,

I see some things that I cannot tell,
And sometimes the fares they do yell,
but all in all most people are fine,
And talking with them is a hobby of mine.

I take them out to where they go
and sometimes the route they have to show
some, they call up drunk on the phone
its time for me to take them home.

They get there safely without a hitch
Its better than DUI or end in a ditch
They pay the fare and say their thanks,
and sometimes tip which helps my bank.

Cab drivers seem to have such a bad name
which all in all is such a shame
they are doing a service thats needed these days
and mostly with very little pay

so when you see us give us some thought
we put up with lots and mostly say naught
we're here to help you get safely home
so please it helps, if respect is shown. [comments] => 8 [counter] => 773 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Mick_Puttock [notes] =>

PS. Yep, I now drive taxis for a living, 12 hours a night, 6 nights a week, but it is the only way at this time I can feed the family, and cover this sites costs. A simple search from the left hand lower block (takes a few clicks and a minute each day) will go a long way to helping this site, please think about it.

Thanks again....

I feel you and it shines through this post. I spent a couple of years driving 7 days with 12 hour nights and pulling a 9 to 5 Mon. to Fri. for we do what we must.
This site is a great enterprise for the soul which is wealthy beyond measure. Besides personally clicking and wishing you big tips with every visit may the Law of Attraction honor your patronage of this art.

Peace

TAXIII!!!

Geez, Mick, you're making all the Catholic guilt well up that I haven't renewed my premium membership. It didn't help that PayPal is such a rort.

I'll get on to it - by cheque!

Great to see the master writing again. As the wife of a former taxi-driver I can understand. I do have some adventures of my own *wink*
