busy tending to all of the seats.
The glasses they clang and the bottles all rattle.
Tell him your secrets, he'll never tattle.

He smiles with the knowing of all the good jokes.
He misses nothing about all of his folks.
He's there every night to help brighten the mood.
Bringing cold beer and well prepared food.

He amuses them all with his wit and his charm,
doing his tricks with his magical arm.
He's cheeky and bold for man of his years.
When it comes to his golf game he shares with his peers.

He's one step ahead of the average Joe,
It's part of his job all the things he must know.
He avoids confrontation or an open bar fight.
Keeping the peace night after night.

He knows all the teams and should go to the press,
when he wins on a bet and makes men wear a dress!
He gives you the look as you bet on your seat.
"Don't argue with me unless you can handle defeat"

He chuckles and smiles as he gives his reply.
So witty he is and yet a touch shy.
He hears every comment and despite what he thinks.
He'll voice his opinion and tell you "That Stinks"

So if you're in town and you want a cold beer,
a friendly place or a listening ear.
Drop in at Finn's and there you will find,
The best bartender with a lightening quick mind. I have never read anyone actually write a poem down thats was dedicated to their local bartender. I am sure in the course many have ribald a ballad or song especially as 'In Vino Veritas' but this was very cool, clearly deserved and most enjoyable.

Well Done

Peace
