[time] => 2007-02-12 10:18:29 [hometext] => THis was written after a watched an episode of Oprah the other day when i saw that african parents were selling thier children in Ghana for money to survive. [bodytext] => What could we do, to change the world today?
How can we sit back and ignore it,
when its all in our face?
Should we be ashamed, of the hatred and greed?
Or are we just being practical,
and focusing only on our needs?

Can we find the strength,
to step forward and make things right,
or will we lie comfortable in our beds snuggled warm,
while innocent people die tonight?
Is this all we have to show,
for the things that god has given?
Or does this conclude and make sure that this is the way we should be living?

My eyes cry silently as my heart speaks out,
but somehow the knowlegde and dedication,
never reaches my mouth,
i am young and i am in need,
and i cant do it alone.
But how would you feel if someone ripped you from your home?
They say its not our problem,
they say why should we care?
They say "they do nothing for us. so its best that they stay there"

That is what is causing us our unfortunate fate,
can we act now and save the world...or is it too late? im_just_me09, what a wonderful thing to do in poetic form as this piece hopefully will reach out and create an awareness within the population that survival over rides even life. Its sad but has been a fact of life since our beginning and proves once again that a form of life will do whatever it may take to survive. Now I want to thank you for sharing such a meaningful message for all and hope those with lots will become prompted to share a little more so family units can be maintained. I am sorry this comment seems to be turning into a book but dad burn it people just need to share some wealth a little. Wonderful Poem.

this is a very wise write.. and that is awful about those children.. so sad.. you have put this into poetic words so nicely.. and to answer the ending question.. we can save the world if we all work together and try. one person at a time.. every person we help we are one step closer to helping the save the world..
