Screaming to get away
With all my might

How I long to begin
Through different eyes today
Trapped inside this old skin

I long to peel it off, take flight
Still on bended knee I pray
With all my might

Sighing, breathing deeply in
Keeping at bay the monster
Trapped inside this old skin

Trying hard to change, to win the fight
Pushing further outwards everyday
With all my might

This is me outside, within
All change resists, is temporary
Still I’m trapped inside this old skin
With all my might.

Trapped inside this old skin
Screaming to get away

wow this is a very powerful write.. so hard it is to try to change an old self soemtimes or become a new person with new hope.. a very well expressed write..

This piece reminds me of waking up stiff, eyes wide but cant move a limb. If my astral body could relax and stop struggling and smoke a cigarette this is what it might say to the flesh.

Oh god, I ADORE that last stanza!

In fact the entire piece is incredible. This is truly what self struggle is like,
should it be depicted through words .. (in a muchly poetic fashion)

I'm sure there are many who can, (and do!) relate to this. Yang's
take was quite fascinating. I would tend to agree.

Excellent post .. I hope you are feeling less of a struggle and more
of an embracing of life. (Because, yes .. that is the truest joy)
