I know you want me, but I feel I’m just too late
I look into the stars and ponder
Look farther and farther yonder

I wonder how you could do this to me
But yet again
Why would I do this to thee?

Looking into the stars I see your face
Longing for me to draw nearer
But along with another glance
Comes an instant and chilling fear

It kills to know you’re there
And that I’m just somewhere
Hiding from all that’s true

Looking into the stars I see your face
But this time, I’m too weak to pace
I can’t even look anymore
I can’t escape your presence
Let me come back Holy Essence

Wow .. at first read, I thought perhaps you might have been
talking about a person .. and then on some other level,
"love itself" .. but having noticed it falls under self-struggle,
I pause now to give it more thought.

I agree with crow .. it definitely seems like a struggle of good and evil
within. You have penned it so eloquently and with much graciousness.

I hope you find the peace you seek ..

*smiles*
