[bodytext] => I met him through my sister He made her his wife Three children later Confronted with strife The big “C” word Cancer is the name We've only just heard No one is to blame The doctors fear the worst The cancer is very bad The kids are aware With a tear for their dad I've been lost for words Until this poem I now write All I have to offer Are prayers day and night I sometimes doubt their effect Then more prayers I try to find Really, how hard is it for me I don't face the grind Please Just a thought or two For Robert, Linda, and the kids too I know it is not much But it is all I ask of you.
