Her barefeet knowingly traversed~

a well worn path in the forest floor

Much like a lovers sure caress~

of one whose body they've known before...

Drawn through the storm swept twilight~

by the magnetic mystery of moon

Likening her pace unto her hearts~

which longed for where she'd arrive soon...

Allowing for just the brief pause~

long enough to wish upon a star

She thanked the night for her fey self~

both bewitchingly free & bizarre...

Then her journey resumes through~

the gnarled branches of winter bared trees

Silhouetted against the sky~

unobscured by the past seasons leaves...

When at last beginning to tire~

she spies familiar surroundings

The entrance to her secret place~

wherein, first she'd felt true grounding...

She slowly begins to turn~

with head flung back & arms open wide

A dizzying embrace of return~

that carries her to the other side...

Bare flesh thrills to the night airs kiss~

as she starts to disrobe without shame

Shed along with the outside world~

the inhibitions that with it came...

With her true glory revealed~

she offers herself to the moment

As around her a wanton wind whirls~

that never seeks from her atonement...

Invoking sensuous circles~

from the abandon spins of a girl

An undulating woman now~

keeping rhythm with the natural world...

Her hips beating out a tattoo~

the same from she was once given birth

Mother magic fills her within~

until she feels as one with earth...

Relinquishing all things mundane~

her spirit from her body takes flight

Questing through the ethereal~

for knowledge of her own truths light...

Only has she ever returned~

once the universe has let her go

Rejoining her physical self~

that with this knowledge begins to glow...

She finally reclothes herself~

for back she must soon make her way

Bringing to her reality~

its own truth from which long strayed...

This is a dream story song of Hecuba, Isis, Eve, Lilith and KerryLynne. It is the pertinent tryst that is the gift of all who grow a womb and embrace the Earth within and her arboreal arms and fingertips.

However I feel I must quote another here:

"When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be.

Let it be, let it be, .....

And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be..."

McCartney & Lennon

Bless Her Heart

From one KLM to another, this was a magnificent write and equal enjoyment to read. Captivating might be another word I'd use. Powerful another. But I kinda like to end with, Classy!

Truly a most complexing work of poetry, quite enjoyable to read. A comforting feeling i got from it, along with the feeling of experiencing it. You are an excellent writter, a true literary technician if you will.

Holy WOW! KerriLynn .. this was sooooooooooo bloody wonderful!

As I read, I got this overwhelming feeling of having read this
before ... but I realized it was a movie that I had seen. It
reminded me SO much of the innocence of the Jody Foster
character in Nell. Damn! That's who I pictured here,
spinning herself round, arms stretched toward the sky
baring her soul in the moon's gorgeous light-- becoming
one with not only the earth, but the moon, the stars, the
whole damn universe.

GLORIOUS truths and spiritually uplifting, methinks.

There is an emotion within this that is both boldly innocent
and quietly passionate. And it is a tremendous accomplishment
at having expressed that so beautifully. Excellent post missy!

*hugs*
~Breezy
