that wonderful key is my ticket to freedom.
I hold onto it because I am afraid to use it.
What key might I possess, a key of death is what.
The door that requires the key is in front of me,
and I am ready to open it.
What keeps me from it?
what holds me back?
It's not her smile, her eyes, her laugh.
Those only haunt my dreams and push me further towards that door.
My only hope and dream is that death will rush over me,
consume my flesh, consume my heart, and take away my love.
Love leads to destruction, to hate, to violence.
That's the truth I have become to realize.
Love is not freedom, only death can give freedom.
And I hold the key to that freedom,
I hold the key to death's door. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 189 [topic] => 13 [informant] => whiteleo1984 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

as horrible as this is, don't let love get you so down. you always fall hardest the first time and when you get over it, you stand taller and more confident. you will find that you have more power over future loves and if not you will eventually. life is about experiences, and misery is one of millions. every sunrise brings the prospect of greatness. don't quit because you hit a bump in the road

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
