and the next day I set off to meet her in her forest,
after a whole days walking, when I finally got there,
I heard her singing softly as she brushed her hair.

As I stood there listening to my godess of poetry,
I realised what an awesome source of inspiration she was to me.
Then I decided to build a temple for her,
that would make everyone open there mouths in wonder.
When she finally spotted me she beckoned me,
and asked me to sit near the roots of a giant fig tree.

She said " you'd better start using that thing between your ears,
cause all that you've got left is another thirteen years,
before you go and lie beneath your tombstone,
where you are gonna remain forever alone".

As I walked back , I wondered how long it would take,
for me to finish building her beutiful temple by the lake,
where before I die I can sit and pray,
that the flowers that fall on my grave may never decay.

I'm not sure why,but the imagery to me is of a medieval theme.I like :)I really love the last verse...leaves me pondering deaths offerings..WOW!!!! That may sound bleak but if a poem can make me think long after I have read it ,then I know its good.....Thanks for sharing...
