As he hooks his victim.

A slurring mess, falling to the ground
I hold his hand in the hospital
Think I watched him kill himself
While he was blind, and busy

Shooting himself down with tequila.

I really liked this... "Think I watched him kill himself
While he was blind, and busy
Shooting himself down with tequila."

Excellent word choice and an origional way of presenting the bout with booze.

Very well done my friend
Larry

Touching and powerful. An event often witnessed that leaves those left in the wake feeling powerless. Well written
