Sister demon seed
Lost to herself
Words grow as weeds

Resentment flourishes
Fed on golden lies
Strong is the envy
Her soul slowly dies

Memories torment
A spirit loving and kind
Gone from sight
An echo in her mind

Frantically searches
For that which is right
Mirror does not show
How she must fight

Darkened her door
Now evil is her twin
Deeper into self
Looking within

Once again she will dance
Laugh and joyously sing
Once inner beauty
Again from her springs

Whew this piece was hard on the heart as it reaches into the darkest places on the way to hopeful redemption and self enjoyment.

Well Done

Peace

ah .. a most relatable write, Shari. (hoping you are okay ..)

You've expressed the emotions of good vs evil so damn well!
I adore the third stanza, with a draw to that last line especially.

Excellent post!

"Once inner beauty
Again from her springs"

'T will most certainly happen, Shari, says the cowboy.
Captivating piece.
