For as long as I can remember, I wanted boys
No particular reason, they make just as much noise!
So, when I gave birth to my darling sweet son
Any troubles had left me, any pain I had none

I held in my arms a new life we'd created
The highs that I felt, left me feeling elated
I looked into his eyes, as I held his sweet hand
This tiny young person, I now understand

That feeling they tell you, that bond you should feel
My life now so perfect, so lucky, ideal
I lay in my bed, feeding my new born
Hours late into the night, and thru into new dawn

Time flew and soon, another baby son I gave birth
How gifted and happy, happiest person on earth
Again the feelings flowing, the gift of such sweet child
His handsome face and big blue eyes, his nature oh so mild

And then just two years later, I was blessed yet once again
Another son, to hold so close, and thats when I realised then.......
How good my God had been,.... healthy sons hed given me
Not just one fine healthy son , he'd given me now three

I pray for them just every day, and nightime too you see
I pray for God tokeep them safe, look after them for me
I pray that they live long happy lives, and that Im here to share
I pray forever health and happiness and for me to spare

Until one day, they all have Son's and Daughters of their own
I pray they have their families, so they are not alone
If anyone had told me how much happiness my Son's would bring
I'd never have believed such a feeling, that makes my heart just sing

To my Son's I love you all so so much xxx [comments] => 4 [counter] => 213 [topic] => 23 [informant] => Malcolmsdreamgirl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

awwwww, this poem is very sweet. I was smiling the whole way through. It's obvious you love them each with every bit of your heart. Someday they too will realize how lucky THEY are.
