while I relate to you
a tale
About a young floppy earred bunny and
A whited tailed deer

It was curious
How they met
It just simply happened
And that was that.

Friends they are
And always will remain
Watching from a distance you can see them playing
Running and hopping and sharing a good laugh
Until one day A Big Buck they did pass.

"Look here " said the Buck "this just can not be"
What they answered " What Shouldn't be?"

The two of you Playing together
The other deer and I agree
Its the strangest oddest funniest
sight to see.

This bunny so small running along side
your long slender legs ...
"But , blinked the Deer
"He keeps right up with Me.
With No trouble at all
as you can plainly see.

And yes, we share our food stuffs
and Bunny shows me only
the very best places to graze."

The Buck threw his head back
And shook his Antlered head indignantly
And with a shrug and a push
He tried to separate the bunny and he.

"No, stop that ," stomped the deer.
Please Go Away,
Brother Bunny and I are friends
And we enjoy
Each others company.

It matters not
That he appears smaller
And different from me
I like him because
He Likes Me
For being Me.

So
Go mind your own business
Mr. Buck please.
For as you can see
We are busily playing ,
Enjoying being young and free."

Knowing he can't win
And wouldn't change their minds.
The grumpy ole Buck
Slowly walked away
Disappearing
Back behind a old Red Wood tree.

Laughing together
And giving each other a wink.
The Bunny and Deer went on playing

Happily.
