Cold of heart with a perverted perspective
Elusive by nature and conceited by experience
They venture the countryside bearing shame

Instilling fear and reeking havoc
Into the heart of modern day society
Instigation an attempt at confrontation
War and genocide a few of their vile objectives achieved

Their faces contorted into ghastly expressions
No sign of empathy or conscientious remorse
Their minds structured around simplistic objections
To all forms of freedom and personal choice

With heaps of support from their mindless followers
They emit swarms of robots from outstretched arms
Reluctant at first their opinions suppressed
Leaving behind a patriotic facade

Having the ability but lacking the effort
To pity the many fallen victim to war
Unwilling to emphasize with ones they have wronged
These emotionless zombies a detriment to peace

Innocents mourning the dearly departed
They bury the corpses atop others dead
Watching the blood soak the thirsty craters
Created by the imprint of the immense titans heel

Coerced to plead flag allegiance
Deceit the leash keeping us tame
Passively forced into obedient submission
We sit and spectate as our world turns to ash [comments] => 3 [counter] => 243 [topic] => 41 [informant] => InfamousKilljoy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => political )

Right On...more people got on line for Nintendo Wii than protested during all of Vietnam and sadly few have protested on Iraq...but your right on, they and their hearts are a "Granite Monstrosity" sitting on the necks of us all especially for the young all in the name of profit for a select few.

Good Job

Peace

Damn....Thats pretty sad more people stood in line to spend their money on some gaming system than protesting war. Kudos for writing this, but what it comes down to is not paper but action. Good job though, you seem aware of your surroundings
