When we first met end of March 2006
We went to a "local" instead of the flicks
Each time you returned from the bar with our drinks
I wondered what thoughts, Malcolm he thinks ....?

We had only just met and I'd chattered non stop
about past experience whether pleasurable or flop
A glint in your eye, that nervous smile
To gather your thoughts, took a fair while.

I looked at your face, it was definately kind
I looked into your eyes, for that special sign
I stared at your lips to kiss would be nice
You handed over my drink hmm... " That would suffice "

You sat by my side, and listened with GUSTO
Last orders called and we knew then, I MUST GO
I offered a lift ,you accepted with glee
A lift from the maniac driver called Dee

I showed off the sportscar ( which of course was my son's)
Better than your car, of which you had none
You bent all of your body, so that you would fit
In this beautiful streamline car, built from a kit

I revved up the engine, your face was a joy
Hmmm.... how you would love such a beautiful toy
I drove to your hometown and into your drive
So far so good , we had got there alive.

Now the big question? do you invite me in ?
Do I accept your offer? or run with the wind
I don't answer quickly, I leave it a while
You look at me anxiously.... with your so sexy smile

How can I resist now, of course I'll accept
But remember our deal which so far you have kept
No kisses on lips please - a slap may offend
So stick to my rules and don't try to bend

We enter your home now into the large hall
You walk to the kitchen and from there you call
Tea or Coffee? or something much stronger?
I'll die of thirst if I wait any longer!

I sit on the settee so beautifully placed
My eyes round the room at pictures trace
I spot the two paintings you did as a boy
I choke on my gum is this some sort of ploy

The paintings are dark one of two women
Naked of course, and theyre certainly not swimming!
I clear my throat and take a deep breath in
I look to the second, Now Im think-in.....

You appear at the doorway, that smile on your face
You offer my coffee, I take it with grace
You sit down beside me and now you talk
Should I drink slowly? or quickly and WALK!

Of course You're an Artist, I completely forgot
The pictures are ARTWORK not just ole Tott
I relax a little easy now, but still its time to go
God I hate these bits, just go with the flow

I hand my coffee cup back to you, you take it to the kitchen
Then I start to talk again , this time you pitch in
You ask if we can meet again .. "of course" I say..... sounds nice
I walk toward the front door now, hope you remember my advice

I turn to say a thank you , what a wonderful night had
You look into my eyes yours, twinkle something bad
I lean to kiss your cheek good nite, but for you thats not enough
You lean to kiss me on the lips and slide right OFF thats TOUGH!

I told you not to kiss me yet
I need to make up my mind
But of course I made it up ages since, cos you are DEFFO are My KIND!

I smile and feel warmhearted, at your little cheeky gesture
The kiss was just a ploy of mine a way for me to TEST YA!
Of course you passed with flying colours, right to this very day
Im glad youre such a wonderful man, be sure and stay that way

So Malcolmsdreamgirl is my name
But hes really my dream Man too

I love you very much Malc and always I'll be yours
but now im gonna post this ditty - see if I get some scores!!!!

Wonderful way to remember. I have done the same with my Larry poems I write. It just flows so nice combining memory with the words of a poem. Add and touch of love and you have a great poem.
