I look out the window
Feeling the world pass me by
I find my self thrown head first into the flow
I sit back deciding not to bother with the
Question "why?'
Sleeping in a bed of stress
Strung tight
I'm restless
Lie awake most of the night
Projectile into early morning
Eyes solemnly shut
All fades to black the color of mourning
Too dead to make a cut
The tears well inside
But refuse to make the long trip to the
Ground
And mostly I wish to roll into a ball and hide
But I can't keep myself from looking round...

Everything that I love about this write can be summed up in your own words...

" And mostly I wish to roll into a ball and hide
But I can't keep myself from looking around..."

The first part of your statement here is one I think many can relate to, but, the second part is so uniquely you...I love it!

Geez, I can so see much of me in this write. Your words are sharp and to the point..

"Strung tight
I'm restless
Lie awake most of the night
Projectile into early morning"

For me, I loathe that feeling. It is wicked being in a state of anxiousness. I really loved this part too....

"And mostly I wish to roll into a ball and hide
But I can't keep myself from looking around"

Whoooaaaa. Now I feel like we are somewhat connected.
Peace and hugs,
Laura

An excellent lyrical ride so chiming with your moniker ...
its days like that where we figure how to measure ourselves best...

Well Done

Peace

I love the last 2 lines. Good job.
