Array ( [sid] => 13027 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => I Still Know [time] => 2003-02-20 12:00:00 [hometext] => This poem was written 13 years ago. I was in the midst of a long period of confusion, anxiety, and frequent depression. The only thing that kept me afloat was faith in God. MORE >>> [bodytext] => The circumstances of my daily life weren't making alot of sense. The most powerful action I could take to preserve my sanity and benefit the welfare of my family, was to affirm my faith in God daily and praise Him for granting my prayer requests, of which I could not yet see with my human eyes. Gloria

This Spirit in me that comforts me
Through my hurts and fears,...
This Spirit in me that teaches me
How to live and to give,...
This Spirit in me that guides me
In my thoughts and steps each day,...
This Spirit in me is the Spirit of God,
come to show me His Holy Way.
He came to me because
I wanted Him and looked for Him.
He came to me because
I accepted Him and loved Him.
He came to me because
He loves me and what I will someday be.
He came to me just to be with me,...
To nurture me as His Family.
Some days I feel His Presence near
And my steps seem easy and clear;...
Some days I feel Him very near,
But, I still must walk through pain and tear.
Some days I'm dull as rain-soaked sod...
And can't see through confusion's fog.
Some days I feel alone in this world,...
But on those days, I obey Him still,
for I still know He's God.
