Array ( [sid] => 130215 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Don't Turn Keep Walking [time] => 2007-01-06 23:32:22 [hometext] => Sometimes you just have to throw your hands in the air and start walking away from the people that hurt you. [bodytext] => Nothingness fills my very soul,
Blackness becomes my only escape.
My empty eyes stare through yours,
Refusing the truth in the words spoken.

Your admitting after all the pain,
The broken heart you gave me,
The tears that flowed constantly,
The words that ruined me,
Were a mistake?

You tell me of your regret,
The mistakes you've made before.
I was there, I witnessed this all,
Did you forget I once begged you,
Pleaded with you to return to me?

Now after all this time,
When I've become used to having nothing.
You return with that look,
The one I know is my demise,
The one you call my fall from grace.

How big of you to forgive me,
For something I didnt do.
How kind and generous of you,
To accept me with this broken heart.

You say you turned the world around,
Made it so just for me and you.
I liked the world I had before,
Without you I was doing just fine.

When you pass me now,
Don't smile, speak or touch.
Now I'm the one walking,
But unlike you, I'm not looking back.

you can really feel the pain and emotinal hurt in this piece.. you definately get that strong sense of anger.. but the ending is especially good where you put your not looking back.. so true that is.. move ahead.. better things are there.. keep your head high.. you don't need someone like that
awesome job

Very nicely written, A talented poet that can express emotions, tell a story and make it rhyme.
Very touching and heart felt.
However, it seems that you have a little bit of a problem judging people. So you fall for the wrong person. Life is like this and we do not always get it right.
But keep your chin up and hold your head high. Take life stride by stride, day by day.
