but please dont stay too long...

Ceremoniously
The symphony of eloquent tones

Are forced together in delightful banter

As the words are leaked from soft lips
Eyes sparkle
A single tear drips
A heart rips
In halves
Its bad
Living sad like this

Denial does no good
Where the truth could
Set a soul free
Leave it be
Let it rest
Let it nest
High in the trees

Gut instinct
Says to shut it down
Clock out
Check in
To a lonely room
Downtown
I am found
In dark corners
Shoveling up dirt from the ground

Around,
We go-
All this cold
It has yet to snow
All this love
Left to grow
The sunlight reflects
A beckon of hope
The season is choked
All is not lost
With the melting frost
Comes a fresh bloom
A glistening moon
Listen to the crickets
Chirp tales of heartache and gloom

A beautiful face is a commodity
A shoe-lace
Now a luxury
Wrapped in terminal space
Dangling, is a wasted apology
A prototypical prodigy
Insight into the interlocking
Mechanisms of an advanced society
A second incision into the fabric of morality
A tragic passage
It passes in seconds
To the end of eternity

A body fit for war
The mind is suddenly cured
A metal casing houses the sword
Rifled groovings encase the barreled bullet
Pull it
Out comes more
Death from the inner-core
Life is cheap
Adored are creeps
Loved by me
Are only those who breathe
The same air I need
To keep on my feet
To run from the faces
Who haunt this desolate street
Who flaunt their rotted teeth
Sharp and neat
Using thirty-three
To tear deep into the meat
The clock hits thirteen
Only a few more hours
Until we are all free
Many, many
Days proceed
Hopefully
You will see

The timeline of inadequacy
Points to developments
Significant events
Shows the relevance
Relives the memorable
The tasted
The protests
Ingested the excess
Forgotten nest egg
Elaborated
Evaporated
Festered bug beds
Once a celebrated test
Excess evidence
The message is intense
Consider me the devil
Shutter at the inevitable
Clutter strangles
Storage boxs of tangible metal
Rusted
Brown and corroded
Misnoted
Misrouted
A raise in pay
To be demoted
I know nothing about it
Hands of clay
Are chipped
Shipped to sea
The cribbed baby
Follows the fingers
Waving gently
Goodnight

The opposing energies here jump right off the page. There's that old 'I give up, roll over, play dead' side then that 'survival of the fittest, inner strength' kicks into high gear and bowls the reader over, like being in the wake of a tornado. Very impressive.
