Alarm clock sounds, off to work I go,

darn, the power was off, the clock is slow.

I jumped from the bed, banged my toe!

Should have known right then how my day would go

I sat a minute and cursed a piece,

Then into the bathroom to brush my teeth

Toothbrush slipped, dropped into the pot,

Had no spare, so I rinsed it A LOT.

Dropped my vitamin pill, slipped down the drain,

grabbing for it got me a finger sprain.

Starting to feel like a real blond ditz.

Oh oh!, now there's an ugly zits!

Then sitting down to fix my hair,

barked my shin on the dressing chair.

Hopped around to ease the pain,

knocked over my coffee! That'll leave a stain.

Slipped on a shoe, *#!% a broken heel!

Too late now for a breakfast meal.

Dropped my keys on the hallway floor.

Then bent and banged head on the door.

Checked my watch to see the time.

It's SUNDAY ! No work! %*&# Just doesn't rhyme.

ha ha Nice one, have these days often. The answer.

When your day starts off so very wrong,
And out of your bed you don't belong,
For everything easy seems so tricky,
Jump back into bed and take a sicky.

Loved it . Sue xx

You've given us all an enjoyable jaunt thru all those morning routines that get mucked up for one reason or another. A funny and ironic look at how we can be so focused on one thing that we forget what day it is....

Thanks, Peace~
