There's a legend of a lady who crys by the ocean~

she drifts through moonlight, disguising her tears as rain

With poetic hands, she cradles the memory in rhyme~

of her long ago Lion & his loves ever changing reign...

Forever lives that of which we are all a part~

& apart she broke into a little girl once more

An abandoned child left searching for whats lost~

"Where's my King", she crys, "With my new Queen", the beast roars...

Drowning in a water~colored world of emotions~

her once vivid self, now misty without reflection

An empty shell to be washed up on shore~

so fragile that within no life seeks protection...

I involuntarily dropped the rose colored glass I normally view the world through to really feel this piece:

"...With poetic hands, she cradles the memory in rhyme..."

The legend maybe used to explain why the ocean tastes so salty...

Heres to fending off the roars of beasts!

Peace
AJ

In all legends lay some truth, be they in spirit mind or body.
