Another year is on its way,
Another calendar, another day.
Another spring is coming soon
Another flower soon will bloom.
Another summer for great fun,
Basking in the blazing sun.
Another fall with colors galore,
And falling leaves at my back door.
Another winter and the cold,
Another Christmas tree sold.

Another year of resolutions we’ll never meet,
Another year of promises we’ll never keep.
Another year of births, another of death,
Another year of trying to catch our breath.
Another year of hatred and of love,
Another year of forgiveness from above.
Another year of war and violent crime,
Another year of praying for a little more time.
Another year of bickering on the political front,
Another year for contenders on the Presidential hunt.
Another year of marriages and divorces too,
Another year of families falling through.
Another year of wishing we had a plan,
Another year of watching things get out of hand.
Another year, oh yes, here comes another year,
How I wish I looked forward to it with more cheer.

Another Year

Another year is on its way,
Another calendar, another day.
