Array ( [sid] => 12981 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Birds Watch [time] => 2003-02-19 20:20:00 [hometext] => too familiar, the guns of war and cries of
the casualties on the horizon again [bodytext] => assembled along
the telephone lines,
they wait for the echo
of thunder's warning,
letting them know
time has come,

i sit at my window seat,
and watch for the writing
on the sky,
bring it on again,
more tanks, more guns,
more insanity,

let it all begin again,
this revolving door,
hasn't anyone learned
anything yet at all?

im gonna drink my wine,
wanna get numb,
and watch it all unfold,
sit by my windowseat,
watch the tears go by,
and pray to the sungods,
to wash the cries away,
bathe them in the cleansing rain,

as for my feathered friends,
they can still just fly away

Sunflower, this is what I got from your poem. Wouldn't it be nice if all of us could just fly away with your feathered friends? That would really be nice....so we wouldn't have to stay and watch and feel all the insanity we face each day.
Loved your poem, and certainly agree!
Lovingcritters,
