A loft where she once stood
Now cracked and degraded
For she was less than good

Her humanity showing
In simple daily mistakes
Her heart sad and weathered
How easily it breaks

She tries to live her life
For the good of all
But due to past hurts
Sometimes she does stall

She never said she was perfect
Always claimed to be no saint
But peoples expectations
Made her what she ain’t

For her heart was good
She was the compassionate type
So from the pedestal she fell
When she did not live up to the hype

But from time to time
Into the darkness she would step
And disappointing them
She felt less than adept

Each time she let someone down
Her heart cries and breaks some more
For she would never hurt intentionally
And now broken she lays on the floor

Once again, excellent use of
symbolism. I'm sad to hear that
you are/were going through a hard
time. It is very difficult when people
can not accept us for who we are,
and understand that we all make
mistakes from time to time.
Best of wishes!
