Throbbing
This headache
Oppressive pain
Uncontrollable urges
To kill
The thought stresses against my skull
Crushing every judgment
Even though the attempt is futile
I want love
Not skin under my fingernails
I don’t want to be buried alive
The winter has iced my heart
When it’s all said and done
Spring will do its part
Until then
I’ll sit
And wait
In the dark
Unpretentiously
Letting my skull crack open.
