[bodytext] => Cruel Desert Winter Sun, why do you hurt me so? I feel your pain and taste the rain that have become your tears; But must you keep from me the Moon of my own heart? His light divine was briefly mine - A touch I've longed for years. You remind me that He was yours before my time; I entered Night, hidden from sight and stole the Summer Moon. I've made Him break the vow He made to the night's Stars; The guilt is great, and for my fate it seems you'll haunt me soon. For now He must fufill the duty of a Moon: He must reflect light and protect the Stars till they are grown; Why won't you let Him share His glow that sooths my pain? Can't you agree your harsh decree is Fear's loved icy stone? I wait in cold silence to see the Moon again; For now I stand in Pain's cold land Where sunlight burns me down. Will I ever see the night before I die? The Sun will keep Him - watch me me weep, And rejoice in my frown. My tears will freeze the summer breeze As long as She can shine; But can't She see though She burns me the Moon will still be mine?
