About what she was about to do
Why she cries so much
And why she hated anyone’s touch
If only you had taken a second to ask
Maybe you could have removed her mask
Learned her secrets shared her pain
Helped her through and kept her sane
Found out why she doesn’t sleep
Found out why she cuts so deep
Been able to see her fears
Been able to taste her tears
Isn’t it funny what time will bring?
While you’re reading she is feeling the sting
Her heart is steadily slowing
Her life is now quickly going
Her glow is fading away
Now you will never hear her say
Why she gave up and took her life
Why she relied on her cutting knife
Why she wanted to die alone
Why she was scared to stay at home
Isn’t it funny how little we know?
And how when we act we are so slow
And how sometimes we really don’t care
As long as it’s not us life doesn’t have to be fair
It isn’t funny what some people decide
Feeling so helpless they choose suicide

Nothing is funny about a life that's lost
We do not realise at what cost
That we give up and go away
Living not for the future but just today

What's is wrong with society
When the signs are there
And we turn our backs
Like we don't care

Nothing I say
Or nothing I do
Could ever help those
I wanted to

I can only hope
We aren't so blind
To watch the fall
Of all man kind

To a point I agree with the message here as far as some not understanding or seeing.

Though I also know when people do reach out many times the help is not wanted.

We need to proclaim our life and make it happen. There are many programs out there to help you understand your pain if you need it. Please reach out and they will lift you up.

Life is worth living, suicide is not the answer.
It does not end any pain, yours nor anyone elses.

I will not agree with suicide I just will not, sorry.

I could tell you stories about my life that would make your skin crawl hun but never, not once did I think of giving up and dying.
I am a strong woman due to trials and pain.
Reach for your inner light and make it happen!!!!!!! You can do it .

~Michelle~

I'm going to talk semantics for a sec... nice poem, good structure, good flow, nice use of repetition and a good, solid, traditional rhyme scheme.

Now, suicide. Couldn't do it to myself, love life too much, but I've not always been that way, and once, in the dark, dark recesses of my past considered it. I don't think it's about needing a way out, I think it's about having felt so much pain you're not sure how you can wake up tomorrow and go through exactly the same thing. And whatever anyone's been through, you can't weigh one another's pain against the other, if you get me; we all feel it differently, and, no matter how much there is it still blooming hurts!

Vent away, girl, you put it into good perspective, and get all the controversy in these comments!!!

Tuesday xxx

Still black water, as deep as forever, as cold as the sky, as still as my heart when your voice is gone. I shall freeze in Hell. Of course I loved you, of course I loved you; you saved my life. I wish you hadn't, I wish you'd left me alone.

- Sarah Kane, 4:48 Psychosis (British playwright, and suicidee)

wow this is very emotionally sad.. very expressive.. I agree with what shellz said. there is always hope.. everyone here understands this feeling.. I think at one point or another most of us here have wanted to die or commit suicide but there is so much to live for.. things may seem bad now but a bright future with promise is ahead.

I totally agree with Tuesday and Michelle. Seek your inner light my friend. There is so much to live for~ Suicide is never the answer.
Poetry is a good form of venting what's inside of us. Use your pen as your sword and pen down all those unwanted and painful emotions. Through writing it helps our scars to heal. May your inner light give you the much needed strength that you need to get past what you are going through.
My thoughts and prayers are with you~
big heartfelt hugs & prayers,
sue m

Im not going to lie sweetheart, I've thought about ending my life on several occasions, I even had it all planned out, letter and all. But what stopped me, was that I woke up and realized, my friends are there for me. My family is there to love me, and God here is to support me.

We've all been where you are, life is really hard for everyone. Some people go through your pain and do end it. I've been there, I've seen what it does to people and to their families. And nothing good will ever come from it.

We are here for you, we will back you up and give you the support you need, just ask and we will do anything for you.

Very good work, it really expresses what you're going through and whats going on in your heart and mind.

Mike
