Smoking a Cigarette,
Looking Around,
A Tear Falls.

One Lonely Tear,
Falls from my Eye,
And I fight the Urge to Cry.

Its Hard being There,
For Everyone.
Its Harder being a Protector,
For my Loved Ones,
Its Harder Still,
To be Alone.

One Lonely Tear,
Falls to the Ground,
It Hits,
But makes no Sound.

No one will Know,
Because I will Never Show,
The Scars Within,
My Deepest Sins,
The Chaos in my Mind.

One Lonely Tear,
Falls from my Eye,
And I look to the Unforgiving Sky,
Asking for Strength.
Asking for Hope.
Asking for a Reason,
To keep on Living.

Harder and Harder,
Each day Becomes,
To keep on Going.
But I wake Up,
And thank God,
For Creating Me.

But Here I Sit,
Looking at the Sky,
With a Tear Falling.

One Lonely Tear,
Falls From My Eye..... [comments] => 4 [counter] => 219 [topic] => 32 [informant] => EddieDean [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

I can so much relate to what you have written. You have penned what I could not. You had tears in my eyes for I know only too well of this terrible pain and sadness that you speak of.
A very sad, heart breaking and emotional piece of poetry. Wishing you much brighter days ahead.
hugs n prayers,
dreamer

I hope that things look up (no pun intended) for you in the future. This is a poignant piece that evoked strong emotions withing me. I'm going through a somewhat similar phase, so...

No one will Know,
Because I will Never Show,
The Scars Within,
My Deepest Sins,
The Chaos in my Mind.

Excellent work! And may you find peace of mind.
