wandering spirits

We all are wandering spirits
Chained into this world in a mortal form
Our abilities limited,Our powers gone
We live in this world bound to it by emotions
Emotions of fear, greed and earthly obsessions
We fear for our lives and that of our loved ones
But we are greedy and ruthless for what we want
Our visions are limited by our mortal forms
Our thoughts limited by our mind and perception
Only one thing is certain in this mortal existence
That is our inevitable demise one time or the other
And when that happens we leave our mortal forms
And watch an assortment of memories shown to us
Our memories and that of the ones we loved
and that of the ones we betrayed or cheated
The suffering caused by us are done to us
The goodness done by us are bestowed on us
And after what seemed like an eternity
In the timelessness of this twilight zone
We are free again and we return to our normal forms
Wandering spirits we are, wandering spirits we will be
But the mortal life enriches our existence
Towards our goal to find the reason
For the existence of us,The wandering spirits
Wandering spirits we are, forever and ever.
