Pieces scattered across the floor...
stepped on, picked up, and thrown away,
only to be broken more.
To understand this broken glass,
A look into my eyes and you will
see that this body of mine
Houses a broken soul inside.
For it is so much like a piece of broken glass.
As each day passes
And each hurtful remark thrown my way.
It's sad to hear, even sadder to say
that this young human should
Be taunted so deeply and in so many ways.
So now maybe you will understand
Why i consider myself to be so
Much like broken glass.
And maybe...just maybe...
One day i won't continue
Breaking anymore!

I love how poets take there inner expression and bring into to focus through shared experience. Through reflection poetry may be the furnance through which one can attain a deeper mettle.

Gratefully our souls maybe a closed system that we cannot touch or deflie hence what you are feeling as 'broken' there may initially be just your idea of the soul which can be remade and healed...Here is to firewalking and surface tension.

Well Done
Yang

In brokenness some find new configurations, in new configurations some find new ways to tell the old story and make it new.

The wonderful thing about glass is in breaking it can be remade, consider the purposeful arranging of colored glass into objects of great beauty. May you come to find the beauty of being purposefully arranged in a new way.

Peace~
