I’ll probably be on my flight.
Holding onto a pillow
Wishing that I was holding onto you tonight.

I want to be with you,
Maybe rolling in the snow.
Maybe opening presents,
Kissing under the mistletoe.

But I’ll be on the other side of the world,
But still close to your heart
This is the last thing I wanted,
Me and you to be apart.

Maybe this is exactly what you needed,
A few weeks away from me.
To figure out what you need
And what you want us to be.

‘Cause I know that
All theses Filipino chicks can’t compare
And you’re the only one for me
This I swear.

I think this time apart
Will make me appreciate you more
And make you the only thing I want in my arms
When you walk through my door.

Leaving you is the hardest thing to do
But like everything else,
I know we’ll make it through.
Because even oceans and countries
Can’t keep me from you.

So have fun,
And don’t worry about your babe.
Cause I know I got a good girl back home
And I’ll behave.

And I trust you
And I hope you feel the same
Cause if I lose you when I come back
I’m going to regret I came.

I don’t know yet,
But I want to get you something, maybe two or more
Something that screams “I love you!”
Something that whispers, “you’re the only one I adore.”

I know this sounds corny,
But with all my heart its true,
I can’t wait to be back in the valley,
‘cause all want for Christmas is you. [comments] => 0 [counter] => 203 [topic] => 2 [informant] => ellimac [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
