comes over me
relaxing my body, mind, soul...

the fragments of my dreams
start to play out
behind my closed eyes
secrets and desires
spring out from my conscience

I fall into a peace
I fall into bliss
I fall into serenity...
...almost...

A serpentine feeling
slithers across my skin

I open my eyes
To see nothing...
nothing...
darkness there
and nothing more

I see nothing there
but I know it's there

I feel it's icy breathe against my ear
it's heated gaze, staring at my body

I try to move...
...but can't...

I feel tears roll down my face
I feel so helpless

I can feel the two needle like pains
in my neck...

I try to get away....

My vision darkens
my strength just barely lingers
my voice is nothing but a gasp

I begin to fade back
into the familiar feeling of slumber.

A great read and a great reminder for me of many sleepless nights, and many scary questions..what is it that makes me feel that? Is it real? Is the slumber real?
Thanks!
Write On!
Peace

This piece feels like you channeled a kidnap victim someone drug abducted, coming in and out a haze...

Chilling write .

On its own it will keep one up at night...

Peace
