Array ( [sid] => 129324 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Meeting [time] => 2006-12-12 14:30:05 [hometext] => This poem is a duet by myself, and Kane. It is part one of three in this epic battle of poet please enjoy. The Phantom [bodytext] => Good evening masked one, and what do I owe for this honor Phantom,
You’ve traveled to the dark side just to see little ol’ me,
Here in this perverted mind of mine, is no place for your kind,
Turn and walk away, the world will lose a great poet if you stay,

“For years now you’ve spread your lies and deceit, it’s time you and I took it to the street,”

I see a fist fight with words, have I got that correct sir,
You dare face me, then the death wish you have will soon be received,

“I do not fear you Kane, and nothing you could do will make that change,
All the rumors, all the pain have failed to drive me insane,
You’re a simple chapter with in my book of life, and I’m ready to fight,”

So be it, arm your self with everything you’ve got, a fight may be what you’re asking for, but a war is what you will have fought,

Enter the darkness, swallow your fear, say your prayers and fight back your tears,
In my world you do not exist, you’re a broken man hidden behind a mask,
You’re a fading light on this poetry site, you’ve lost the desire, put down your pen and just retire,

“And so it begins, Kane running off at the mouth again, doubting my ability, well here’s my answer are you ready for me,”

“Nothing you say and nothing you do will have me afraid of you,
Don’t you think this rival has grown stale, once you’re confronted you tend to bale,
You strike from behind when one is unaware, but understand Kane, I’m still here,”

That you are, but not for long, once I strike your will to fight will be gone,
Your death will be by my hand, and I shall laugh as your blood spills upon this land,
The battle of good-vs.-evil takes a twist, Phantom and Kane entering a poetic abyss,

To Be Continued…………

ooooo I am glad this is a duel in words.
I felt heated actions within these words and you did a great job writing this. I will be looking for the rest of it.

Okay, gotta admit that I was going to start by reading The Confrontation but when I saw it was the second part of this I definitely felt I had to come read this one first to get that full effect.

Definitely an excellent write and I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you for posting it and now I am off to read the second part.

Because I was not here when you posted this, I read these out of order. I really am enjoying them though! I look forward to the rest..
Take care...
