Responsibility Forgotten
in a moment of youth & emotion
minutes, hours, even days pass by without consequence
she assumed the timing was perfect
days twist into weeks turning into months, reality settles in
ironically, the timing was perfect
life altering decisions to be made together
fall heavily on Her shoulders
seconds slip into hours as the sedative distorts her mind
she laughs
days melt into weeks, weeks tumble into months,
and it’s ten years later
a lifetime of questions and uncertainties follow in the wake of her
responsibility forgotten
