I can't see where Im Going.
I walk Slowly,
So I don't Stumble.

Up Ahead,
The Smoke begins to Clear,
And I see the Turmoil of my Life
And the Pain my friends Endure.

I look Around,
Its a blood-soaked Battleground,
Many Fought,
Many Died,
And Yet,
Here I Am.

Standing my Ground,
These Demons tried to take Me,
But I wouldn't let that Be.

When the Smoke Clears,
I see the flawless blue Sky,
A tear falls from my Eye,
And I think of those I've Lost.

Looking around this Scene,
It all looks Sooo...
Soo Surrene.

Many have Paid for my Sins,
Paid with their Blood.
And their loss is my Burden.

But I will not let it Take Me,
I will Carry it with Me,
It will be my Stigmata.

When the Smoke Clears,
I see my Life in Ruin,
But I begin to Pick up the Pieces,
And Start Anew.

Everything is Foggy,
I can't see where Im Going.

As, "outcome" rarely concerns itself w/ blame, I'm glad to see that..."When the Smoke Clears..."you too seem to be ready to move on & not waste your time w/ this peticular excercise in futility...

I enjoyed reading this poem. I love poems that come from sad times because it shows the deep insides of the human race.

Keep writing, it clears the soul.

wow very powerful write.. so full of sadness. don't give up hope.. everyone goes through rough times and in those times we need the Hope and guidance of God. very nice flow to your poem and i hope things get better.. very emotional write also.. i enjoyed this piece you can defiantely feel the pain .. hang in there and don't give up hope and trust in God
