like a punch to the stomach
that refuses to dull
all effort on standing
leaves me weak and shaky
there is no joy, no sorrow
- no emotion
just a silent gallery

and a hidden heart
- screaming for sleep
to escape from this hell
but I can’t
- I can’t
I’m here, standing still
a boy, weak and silent
unable to escape himself.

I like the slightly repetetive style in this, and the parts that are almost like side notes, they add to the interest of this.

Well done, a very descriptive right, one that leaves me thinking 'I know just how that feels'

Great write,
*hugs*

Wow I could not even take a breath while I read this! It is short but powerful and captivating. Each word draws on to the next and it gives a slight picture of what you are going through. You say this is not one of your best, but I say it is in my top 7 favorite poems by you. So take that! Lol. Really truly a great write
