The candles were burnt away
Asleep now in front of fireplace
Her dreams now tend to stray

To a time he held her close
And they spent days rolling in bed
Lovemaking, bodies entwined
On sheets of satin colored red

His form taunt tight muscles
An Adonis just for her pleasure
He always brought her joy
And fulfillment beyond measure

But life takes bitter turns
And he was taken way too soon
But she celebrates their life
Every month with the full moon

Champagne chilled just right
Strawberries and whipped cream
Candles and a fire glow
As she flies on passions dream

She finds the spots he found
Reliving solitary every sensation
Some say she is lost forever
As she awaits with anticipation

Her lone dance of ecstasy
Brought to completion as she lusts
For his loving touch
And his hand upon her bust

Alas a poor lost soul
Who relives time and again
Ardors sweet scent
Once felt with lover and best friend
