Array ( [sid] => 129003 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => it started as a poem, but ended a plea [time] => 2006-12-04 05:03:11 [hometext] => I think I might love someone....and when around them my false pretenses of strength fall....and I hope she is not scared away by my need of everything that is her [bodytext] => I sat down to write something beautiful
to explain to you my emotions
to spill my soul upon paper
words traced through my heart
velvet runes bleeding through a pen
connecting my deepest thoughts
through this vein dripping my souls tears
an intricate iv that has kept me going for so long now
and I couldn't think of a damn thing to say
nothing came to mind
no beautiful prose
no awe inspiring love notes
nothing to cast you into a deep dream of me
all I have are words
and tonight they have nothing to say
empty as a starless night
leaving me to wonder
asking again, and again
why do you leave me in such a state
slack jawed and dumbfounded
poetically crippled
exposed and shambled
would you mind?
if I cried upon your shoulder tonight
forgetting why I called you
and instead of drowning you in my words of praise
drown you in my sorrow
no false pretenses
no faux masks
just me
no need of beauty
no need of Shakespearean dreams
just my weakness bared to your eyes
those emerald pools of surreal imperfection
placate me, sooth my frantic sobs
reassurance I don't have to walk this wrenched path alone
calamity stopped within your soothing embrace
if it's to much to ask
